The Auburn School District is committed to providing students with the best environment for learning. Auburn citizens have provided their students with the technology to keep pace with modern life. Every secondary student has a Chromebook to take home and every elementary student has one one the classroom. This levy will allow Auburn School District to continue this practice as well as continuing to provide classrooms with the same level of technological access. This levy will also improve safety and security and make facility improvements in teaching and learning environments. Please vote YES for Proposition 2.
The proposed 6-year levy will:
- Make safety and security improvements at 16 schools & support buildings including
- Secure entry vestibules in our older schools
- Card access system for exterior doors
- Security fencing
- Air conditioning
- Enhance learning spaces
- Provide 1:1 technology devices for all students
- Cost 77 cents per $1,000 of assessed valuation
- Total cost of the levy is $110,800,000
